Real Madrid tracking PSG striker

Real Madrid are understood to be planning a summer swoop for Paris Saint-Germain striker Javier Pastore.

The Argentine international has fallen down the pecking order at the French club and would welcome a move to the Santiago Bernabeu, according to FIFA agent Francois Gallardo.

“Real Madrid have their eyes on Pastore. He played in the Champions League last week and was very important in PSG beating Barcelona,” Gallardo told Spanish sports show El Chiringuito.

“He’s a player with wonderful technique and is pure elegance when playing in midfield. Madrid are monitoring his situation in case of any departures next summer, although he could also join Barcelona.”

Los Blancos boss Carlo Ancelotti is an acknowledged admirer of the 25-year-old, having signed him from Palermo for a reported €40m when he was in charge of the Ligue 1 outfit.

Sources in France have it that PSG would accept around €25m for Pastore, while others claim he would not be allowed to leave for less than the amount paid for him.

Even so, the European Champions will not have it all their own way if the player decides to quit the Parc des Princes, with Manchester United and Chelsea also keen on him.
