Line-ups: Slovakia-Spain

Chelsea striker Diego Costa is fit to start for Spain in the Euro 2016 qualifier against Slovakia.

Costa was the subject of a row between his club manager Jose Mourinho and La Roja Coach Vicente del Bosque when the former suggested Costa wasn’t fit enough to play a full schedule and asked he be rested for the current round of international games.

But Costa starts and will be supported by David Silva and Andres Iniesta for the game in Zilina.

Gerard Pique is also restored to the starting XI after missing the last internationals due to concerns over his fitness, despite contradicting del Bosque and insisting he was fit. Pique partners Napoli’s Raul Albiol in defence after Sergio Ramos suffered an injury playing for Real Madrid.

Iker Casillas captains the side from between the posts with Juanfran and Jordi Alba the right and left-backs respectively. Sergio Busquets, Koke and Cesc Fabregas round out the side.

Slovakia have Napoli midfielder Marek Hamsik with Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel among the names in the home side.

Slovakia: Kozacik; Pekarik, Skrtel, Durica, Gyomber; Hubocan, Weiss, Mak, Kucka, Hamsik; Pekovski

Spain: Casillas; Juanfran, Pique, Albiol, Alba; Busquets, Koke, Cesc; Iniesta, David Silva, Diego Costa
