Brazil international central defender Gil believes Barcelona’s Neymar is a more complete player than his Barcelona clubmate Lionel Messi.
Asked to compare the two players in the eternal debate over who is the world’s best footballer, the Corinthians player came down firmly on the side of compatriot Neymar.
“I’ve never played against Messi but I’ve faced Neymar several times,” he admitted in an interview with ESPN sports.
“With Neymar we are talking about a complete player who gets involved with the team’s play, shoots well with both feet and is very fast.
“I honestly think he is a more complete player than Messi,” he declared.
