De la Bella: La Real deserve more

Real Sociedad defender Alberto De la Bella believes the Basques deserve more than the five La Liga points taken so far this term.

Jagoba Arrasate’s men have won once in the opening six games and stand just one point above the relegation zone.

Nonetheless, De La Bella is not unduly worried about the situation and feels it will not be long before his team starts heading in the right direction.

“If we beat Espanyol this weekend then that will give us the confidence to go forward. I’m convinced if we play as we have been doing then we will eventually get our reward,” De La Bella told a Press conference.

“We’ve taken less points than we deserve and the Espanyol game is very important. It’s a ground we’ve done well at in previous years, so a victory would take us into the international break with eight points.”

The 28-year-old believes it is time La Real got themselves on the scoreboard first in games, something they have been unable to do in six La Liga fixtures so far.

“We must score before our opponents, yet at the same time we mustn’t concede as many so we give ourselves a better chance of winning,” he offered.
