Judge rejects Bartomeu-Neymar case

The Spanish High Court has thrown out an attempt to include Barcelona President Josep Maria Bartomeu in the action over the signing of Neymar.

Mundo Deportivo reports that there was not enough evidence to involve Bartomeu and Vice-President for economics Javier Faus in the investigation into Neymar’s transfer, according to judge Pablo Ruz.

The case was brought by Barca member Jordi Cases and led to the resignation of Bartomeu’s predecessor, Sandro Rosell.

Ruz ruled that the letter from Cases did not provide sufficient evidence to warrant investigation of Bartomeu and Faus.
