Carles Gil has spoken of his happiness at returning to Valencia after spending two years on loan with Elche.
Super Deporte report Gil as speaking at a Press conference to mark the club’s return to pre-season training, and Gil believes he will play a role for Les Che in the coming season.
“What I know is that I’m here in the pre-season and that’s enough because it’s not easy to be here for pre-season,” Gil said.
“I’m here with joy and love. After two years with Elche I wanted to be here.
“It’s still early but I’ve talked to the Coach and to [sporting director] Rufete and they have given me peace of mind.
“Only I can stay here and earn a spot. There are a lot of players, of course, but I hope to be important for the team.”
