Ancelotti wants Verratti at Madrid?

Carlo Ancelotti could be reunited with Italy midfielder Marco Verratti at Real Madrid, reports in Spain have claimed.

AS say that Ancelotti wants Verratti at Santiago Bernabeu, having previously signed him for Paris Saint-Germain.

Verratti moved to PSG from Serie B side Pescara in 2012 and won the Ligue 1 title under Ancelotti’s command in his first season.

It’s claimed that Madrid President Florentino Perez and his PSG counterpart, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, discussed Verratti at Ronald Garros, the site of the French Open tennis tournament that is currently underway.

Verratti has spoken highly of playing under Ancelotti and suggested he would relish the opportunity to do so again.

“I love Carlo because he gave me confidence,” Verratti has been quoted as saying.

“I’ll never stop thanking him for everything he has done for me.”
