Ronaldo sits out Portugal friendly

Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo will take no part of Portugal’s friendly tomorrow with Greece.

Marca confirms that Ronaldo is suffering with a problem in his left thigh and as such, won’t feature against the 2004 European Champions.

Ronaldo’s Madrid teammate Pepe will likewise miss the match after the pair joined up with their country yesterday.

Fabio Coentrao also reported for duty on Friday after Madrid won the Champions League. Ronaldo and Coentrao both started the match while Pepe was a substitute due to injury.

The game against Greece takes place in Lisbon while Portugal begin their World Cup against Germany on June 16. They also face Ghana and the United States in Group G.
