Juanfran: Title for the fans

Juanfran has conceded that Atletico Madrid’s Liga win is ‘for the fans’ after they were crowned champions.

Diego Godin’s header was enough to give the Rojiblancos a 1-1 draw away at Barcelona on Saturday, to win their first title since 1996.

“We’ve made Atleti history,” he told reporters after the game.

“We feel for this shirt like the fans do. We always remember them. This is for them.”
