Barcelona legend Johan Cruyff believes that Carles Puyol was good enough for the Dream Team.
The Blaugrana captain is leaving the club in the summer after 15 years at Camp Nou, and at a special commemoration of the centre-back last night, the Dutchman insisted that he could have started in the side of the last 1980s, early 1990s.
“I’m sure Puyol could have played for the Dream Team,” he told the gathered.
“I’ve always been on the side of the players. I will always be there to support a player, if they want me to.”
