Ancelotti stresses team ethic

Real Madrid Coach Carlo Ancelotti has said that it is the team ethic that is important, not the individuality of the players.

Ancelotti was speaking at an event to promote a video game, AS reports, and was asked which player in the world he would most like to have at Santiago Bernabeu.

“I wouldn’t sign any players because I like the ones I have now,” he replied.

“The most important thing is to adapt to the characteristics of the players. You should be knowledgeable about the players and then adapt to them.

“There isn’t anyone you win or lose with. They’re all valid.

“The most important thing at a football club is to build a team, a group working together for one goal, who put the club at the top.

“It’s not a simple thing because sometimes there is individuality.

“Understand that you have to put your qualities, you job, your ideas, your features, at the service of your club.

“There’s a big word: Altruism.

“Everyone works together for the same goal. Win as a team, not individuals.”
