Sergio Ramos has paid tribute to the Real Madrid fans after Los Blancos beat Bayern Munich in the Champions League semi-final first-leg.
A first-half goal from Karim Benzema proved enough to give Madrid the victory, with the return bout to come in Germany next week.
SportYou reports that Ramos told Canal+ after the match the win and the performance was generated by the support of the spectators.
“This team has soul and we must thank the public. Playing at home is easier,” Ramos said.
“It was a very complicated and very intense game against a team that likes to control the game.
“We have learned how to create opportunities and cause them harm.”
