Zidane to Coach Madrid from 2016?

Zinidine Zidane will replace Carlo Ancelotti as Real Madrid Coach in 2016, reports have claimed.

Mundo Deportivo cites France Football and ‘information from the German media’ that says Zidane will assume Ancelotti’s position in 2016, when the Italian’s contract expires.

Zidane is currently Ancelotti’s assistant and technical advisor to the Madrid board. He has confirmed he wants to be a Coach in future.

France Coach Didier Deschamps has also suggested Zidane could replace him in charge of Les Bleus in 2016.

Zidane was asked in a previous interview what kind of Coach he would be when he does step up from the assistant’s role.

“I’ll be an ambitious Coach, as far as the system, and we’ll fight for titles,” the World Cup winner promised.

“I was a bold player and I’ll be the same as a Coach.”
