Alvaro Morata has hailed the fighting spirit in the Real Madrid team after Rayo Vallecano were dispatched 5-0.
Los Blancos had lost their two previous outings, against Barcelona and Sevilla, and Morata told reporters after the final whistle that it was important Madrid got back on track.
“We needed to come back after the two defeats,” the scorer of the game’s fifth goal said.
“As a team we have great aspirations and we’re looking forward to our next match.
“Real Madrid never give up when there is still a chance to win. We are a great team and we’ll fight for everything.
“This is Madrid, we are together and we fight for everything until the very end. The fans demand that of us.”
