Real Madrid have been linked with a summer move for Southampton and England defender Luke Shaw.
The Daily Mirror claims Los Blancos will swoop for the 18-year-old ahead of interest from the Saints’ Premier League rivals.
Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur have all been linked with the teenager, who is a contender to go to the World Cup as part of Roy Hodgson’s England squad.
Shaw would become the second Southampton youth product to sign in at Santiago Bernabeu, joining Gareth Bale.
No fee is mooted by the newspaper, who add Chelsea were considered the favourites for Shaw’s signature.
Should he move to Stamford Bridge, Shaw would compete with Spain international Cesar Azpilicueta for the left-back berth.
Azpilicueta has been preferred to Ashley Cole in recent weeks despite being naturally right-footed.
