Xabi Alonso has warned that Sunday’s Clasico will be a ‘tense affair’ but admits that Real Madrid’s front three could be decisive.
Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo have scored over 70 goals between them this season.
And the midfielder has conceded that they are a superb trio, but claims that tomorrow’s match will be a tough one.
“Barcelona have some great players, and they’ve spent many years playing together and know each other very well,” he told Bwin.
“Historically and traditionally they are very intense games and both of us are normally fighting for trophies.
“They are highly competitive and tense affairs and I always prepare in the same way because it’s the best way to go into games – visualising a little what could happen, thinking about what could go against you.
“There’s no secret, they’re just good players that have an understanding with each other – they are decisive, score many goals and provide a lot of assists.”
