A broken security camera could foil Villarreal’s search to find the guilty person who threw a gas canister onto the pitch last month.
The Yellow Submarine’s match with Celta Vigo in February was briefly suspended after a smoke can was thrown and then went off on the pitch at El Madrigal.
The club have been furiously searching to find the guilty party, but according to Sportyou, a broken security camera in the ground could stop that process.
The camera is believed to contain vital information about the suspect, but when Spain’s Interior Ministry requested footage, the club realised it had been broken for the last three weeks.
Despite this setback however, the investigation will continue.
