The agent of Atletico Madrid midfielder Arda Turan has insisted the Turkey international doesn’t want to leave the club.
Turan has been linked with the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool but Mundo Deportivo reports his representative, Ahmet Bulut, as saying the player is content with life at Vicente Calderon – for now, at least.
“He is interested in working under Arsene Wenger and Arda wants to play in England,” Bulut confirmed.
“But Arda doesn’t want to leave Atletico yet. They are currently in the title race and he is a key player.
“Arda is playing at a big club and wants to be part of Atletico’s success,” Bulut continued.
“We have received offers from English clubs.
“But there are two sides to every transfer, the player and the club. It is up to both to decide.
“I would like to point out once again that Arda recently renewed his contract and wants to stay at Atletico.”
