Balotelli: Atleti a great side

Mario Balotelli has claimed that Milan will face a ‘great team’ in Atletico Madrid when the two meet on Wednesday.

The Italian side host the Rojiblancos at San Siro in the Last 16 of the Champions League this week.

And the Coach has conceded that Diego Simeone’s men are one of the best around.

“Atlético is doing really well in the Spanish championship. They are a great team,” he told Marca.

“The tie is between Milan and Atlético [not between Diego Costa and Mario Balotelli]. Although Diego Costa seems like a very good player.

“Simeone was a great player and is a great coach. It is always an honour for a Coach to rate me. At the moment, I'm with Milan. I can't say much more.

“[Milan Coach Clarence] Seedorf and I talked about the situation in the team and about the things I need to do on the field. I'm happy.

“In this situation, changes are normal. Seedorf is a great champion and it's a pleasure to listen to him. He was also a great player. Hopefully it will all go well.”

The controversial forward then commented on his former club Manchester City, as they prepare to face Barcelona.

“I hope City beat Barcelona. My former teammates are there, but it will be very tough. Barcelona is one of the favourites at the moment.”
