Manchester City striker Alvaro Negredo has revealed that the key to the success he has enjoyed in his career so far has been humility.
The 28-year-old has been in lethal form this season since making the switch to England but, in an interview with Iberdrola, he highlighted the dangers that complacency can bring.
“You can’t believe that you are better than anyone else,” Negredo commented.
“My advice to youngsters would be to have humility, to remember where you come from.
“That’s what I have learned, to not believe you are better than others and to work hard every day to continue to be like this.”
