Carlo Ancelotti has credited the balance of the Real Madrid side as the reason for their recent good form.
Madrid went top of the League with a 2-0 win over Granada, two points clear of both Atletico Madrid and Barcelona who play on Sunday.
It is the first time since May 2012 that Madrid top the table, when they won the League under Jose Mourinho.
“We didn't recover possession well in the first half. We improved in the second half and it was easier to attack,” Ancelotti said at his post-match Press conference.
“The most important thing is the balance we have at the moment; it's the key. We defend and attack very well.
“We are calmer now. We will continue to fight and keep the intensity high. Everyone is doing their best.”
Ancelotti also revealed that Gareth Bale was withdrawn at half-time due to an injury suffered in a challenge with Jeison Murillo.
“Bale didn’t feel comfortable after the knock he received & that's why I took him off.
“He’s s not injured and should be fit to play in the next match.”
