Barcelona mayor Xavier Trias has revealed that the club are likely to renovate Camp Nou, as opposed to building a new stadium.
It was revealed late last year that the Blaugrana were looking for a bigger stadium to increase their matchday revenue.
Two options seemed to be available for the Catalans – renovate the existing Camp Nou, or build a new stadium in the city.
However, the mayor of Barcelona has claimed that club President Sandro Rosell has already spoken to him about their preferred option.
"I met with Barcelona's President a few days ago and he told me they'll probably choose to remodel the Camp Nou,” Trias told RAC1.
