Ustari wants Almeria exit

Oscar Ustari hopes to be allowed to leave Almeria 18 months before the end of his contract.

The Argentina international has not played for the Andalusian club since signing from Boca Juniors.

He chose to return to Spain after a spell with Getafe in order to win a place in the Argentina squad for the World Cup, Marca reports.

But with games not forthcoming at Juegos Mediterraneos, Ustari is hopeful he will be granted a free transfer.

Premier League strugglers Sunderland and Uruguay giants Penarol are the two clubs interested in taking Ustari, who hopes to impress Argentina Coach Alejandro Sabella before the summer tournament.

Ustari’s career stalled after a succession of serious knee injuries. He represented El Geta between 2007 and 2012.
