Pepe Mel believes that his Real Betis side were ‘better’ than Rayo Vallecano despite their 2-2 draw on Sunday.
Alberto Bueno netted a late equaliser for the Franjirrojos to ensure that both teams came away from Benito Villamarin with a share of the points.
“We were better than our opponents,” he told a Press conference. “I’m satisfied with how we played for the majority of the match.
“But we just have to keep on working and try to take the positives out of the match.
“We did everything to win today, but we just didn’t get any luck.
“When you give 100 per cent though, you have to keep your head high.”
