Bernd Schuster has insisted that Malaga’s late equaliser against Villarreal will give his team ‘confidence’.
Weligton’s 94th minute goal gave the Costa del Sol outfit a 1-1 draw at El Madrigal, and the German tactician has claimed that the draw was ‘deserved’.
“Scoring as we did in stoppage time and gaining a well-earned point has given us a real confidence boost,” he told a Press conference.
“It will be a big motivation in our upcoming matches.
“Our aim was to get off to a strong start, dominate ball possession and create goal opportunities, which I think we did well.
“We were shaken up a bit after the Villarreal goal, made a few small mistakes and gave the ball away too easily.”
The important thing is that the team keeps fighting, with a strong determination to return to winning ways.”
