Florentino Perez has reflected on his ‘trust’ in the current Real Madrid squad and coaching staff to ‘realise the dreams’ of the club’s supporters.
The team have been whistled during recent matches at the Santiago Bernabeu for their inconsistent performances, but the club’s President has talked up their capacity as a unit.
“Madrid is pure emotion. A feeling shared by millions of fans,” began Perez in an address at the announcement of a sponsorship extension between the club and Saudi Telecom.
“It is an institution most admired for what it has achieved in recent years. With these players and this coaching staff we aim to add to that mythology.
“We must strive for excellence in all spheres. Those of us leading Madrid are obliged to stay the course.
“We have some amazing footballers who are aware of the dimension of the challenge of playing at Madrid.
“I trust all of them and also the Coach and his staff because they are going to realise the dreams of the Madridistas.”
