Marcelo has conceded that Real Madrid are far from perfect at the moment, but has room for optimism too after a draw at Juventus.
Los Blancos played out a 2-2 draw in Turin to all but guarantee progress to the Last 16, in another game that saw them concede slack goals.
“We did not play well in the first half, we are fully aware of that,” admitted Marcelo post-match to reporters.
“However I think we played much better in the second half and we earned a good result. We know we still have to improve but I think we are growing game by game.
“We played much better than in our last game and that was our goal. It was very difficult. We have reacted properly in the second half, we have learned from our mistakes.
“We have shown that we can improve, we are in that line of improvement.
“Casillas? We have two amazing goalkeepers. Both are very focused even when they do not play.
“Both are very good and when they do play they are phenomenal.”
