Double fractured jaw for Perquis

Real Betis defender Damien Perquis is set for evaluation from surgeons in Seville today, after suffering a double fracture of his jaw.

Early into the second half of his side’s eventual 3-2 defeat at Malaga on Sunday night, the defender was knocked unconscious after accidentally colliding with Fabrica Colinga in challenging for a loose ball.

After regaining consciousness and being stretechered off, the Polish international was moved to the local hospital.

Betis have since confirmed that Perquis has suffered a suspected double fracture of his jaw and that, upon being allowed yesterday to transfer to hospital in Seville for further observation, he will face consultation with surgeons on Monday.
