Espanyol midfielder Victor Sanchez has admitted that he is in ‘the best form’ of his career this term.
The 26-year-old scored two goals against Athletic Bilbao on Monday to take his season’s tally to three so far.
And the former Barcelona man has conceded he has never been better.
“I was lucky with the goals,” he told reporters. “I’m sure I won’t be the top scorer at the end of the season!
“But it’s always nice to get your name on the scoresheet. I think I’m in the best moment of my career.
“I feel comfortable here and a part of the team. We are strong, with some exceptional individuals.
“Our secret? Effort, humility and sacrifice.”
