Alcaraz wary of Valencia

Lucas Alcaraz does not believe that Granada will have an easy task in hosting Valencia on Wednesday evening.

The Andalucians welcome Los Che to Los Carmenes this Week 6 just a point and two places behind their opponents, after their struggles in the early rounds of the season.

Even so, Granada’s Coach does not see this as reason enough for his team to expect an easy go of things.

“Valencia are a team with great potential, for everything they are and we must be aware that this will be a difficult game.

“Their recent issues? You cannot draw conclusions in just the second week. Whilst Valencia is a very demanding place, they come into our game well, having beaten Sevilla.

“It does not mean that we cannot move forward. We have to master the transitions and also when to rest, that is what we have been lacking in recent games.

“We have to keep our minds on ourselves, aware of how we can use our weapons and knowing the type of game we want and can play, and from there we can go and try to win.

“We are a team with great potential, this will be difficult and a complicated game, but we can move forward.”

Alcaraz was asked of the team’s capacity to play through three games inside a week.

“I am concerned that we are able to provide a good response, that from the other day, we have recovered physically.

“These are games that require a significant amount of energy and are against rivals who have the capacity to win whilst doing very little.”
