Javier Aguirre has admitted that his Espanyol side executed ‘the perfect plan’ in their win against Granada.
A 76 minute Manu Lanzarote goal was enough to give the Periquitos a 1-0 win at Los Carmenes this afternoon.
“We worked out the perfect plan,” he told a Press conference. “We waited until 60 minutes and then won the match with a genius bit of play.
“It was a very tight match and we knew it was going to be decided by small details.
“I told my players as much at half-time.
“There are going to be 14 or 15 teams fighting to get 43 points at the end of the season, so three points here is fantastic.”
