Arturo Vidal took a positive spin on Chile’s draw with Spain, pointing to the performance his team put in.
Chile were leading 2-1 heading into stoppages in Tuesday evening’s friendly in Geneva, only to see Jesus Navas pop up with a late equaliser.
“We made every effort in the game, having arrived after a long trip,” Vidal mused afterwards.
“It is certainly difficult to play well against a team as strong as that of Spain.
“But in the end, we have to be happy that we drew, and didn’t lose, as it still continues a good run for us and we hope to continue like this.”
