Javier Aguirre thought Espanyol’s 3-1 win over Valencia was ‘the best performance since I’ve been here’.
The Periquitos came from 1-0 down to beat Los Che on Saturday evening, and the Mexican Coach has insisted it was exemplary from his men.
“It is perhaps the best game since I’ve been Coach of this club,” he told a Press conference.
“But we cannot now let our guard down. If you’re not strong in this League you don’t win.
“We can’t start to relax now.
“The double pivot [of David Lopez and Victor Sanchez] was superb.”
