Barca have option on Atleti trio

As part of the deal transferring David Villa to the Vicente Calderon, Barcelona reportedly have an option on three of Atletico Madrid’s young players.

Villa’s move across to the capital earlier this summer for a total cost of just €5.1m raised eyebrows, but saw the Catalans defend it as ‘good business’.

AS understand that part of that business includes an agreement reached with Atleti that hands Barca a first option on three unnamed young stars of Los Colchoneros’ squad.

Whilst the publication say that no-one is willing to confirm the names of the players, it is speculated that full-back Javier Manquillo, midfielder Koke [pictured] and Saul Niguez are possible candidates.

It has been suggested otherwise this week that Barca may have an option in place, thanks to the Villa deal, on Atleti’s midfield talent Oliver Torres.
