Tottenham Hotspur have removed an image of Gareth Bale from the home page of the club’s official Twitter account.
Bale’s picture had previously occupied the left hand side of the page with Clint Dempsey on the right.
However, the image of Dempsey, who has since joined Seattle Sounders, has been replaced with one of Aaron Lennon while Bale’s photograph has been taken off in favour of Moussa Dembele.
Bale’s removal will add to speculation that he is about to sign for Real Madrid within the next few days, as interestingly enough both Kyle Walker and Jan Vertonghen remain on the Twitter page.
