Gareth Bale only wants to play for Real Madrid, according to reports in Marca this afternoon.
The Madrid-based newspaper have published quotes insisting that the Wales international is only interested in playing at Santiago Bernabeu next season.
“You made me a promise,” Bale is supposed to have told Chairman Daniel Levy in a meeting on Wednesday.
“You promised me if we didn't qualify for the Champions League and a good offer turned up you'd listen to it.
“Well that offer has arrived and I want to play for Real Madrid. So keep your word and negotiate.
“I'm not interested in Manchester United or any other club. I only want to play for Real Madrid.”
The winger’s agent Jonathan Barnett has reportedly already agreed a deal with President Florentino Perez, with the 24-year-old set to earn between €9m-€10m per season for the next six years.
Spurs are still incredibly reticent to sell their star asset though, with some reports claiming that only a bid of €120m would force their hand.
