Rodgers ‘relaxed’ over Suarez rumours

Liverpool Brendan Rodgers has insisted that Luis Suarez will only leave if a substantial bid if offered.

The Uruguay international has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid this summer, but the Reds Coach has claimed that only a huge sum would see him leave Anfield.

“There has been a lot of speculation,” he told reporters during the team's pre-season tour of Australia.

“But the reality is that Luis is a highly valued player and unless there is an offer that comes close to our valuation, there is nothing to consider.

“I didn't say we would sell. All I have said is that every player has a price – that does not mean we have to sell.

“I'm pretty relaxed about the situation. We need to talk, as I do with all my players, but he is back in good spirits.”
