Paris Saint-Germain President Nasser al-Khelaifi has appeared to close the door on Thiago Silva’s proposed move to Barcelona.
The Catalans have been tracking the Brazilian international over the past few months, although the player recently claimed there was no agreement in place, but it now seems any deal could prove impossible after a statement on Friday night from the PSG President.
“He is one of our most important players and therefore will take the captain’s armband, both on and off the field.
“Last season he was extraordinary and the fans are crazy about him. Thiago Silva is priceless,” Globoesporte quotes him as saying.
