Getafe President Angel Torres has admitted that the club have made an approach for Real Madrid youngster Alvaro Morata.
The 20-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough year at Santiago Bernabeu last term, scoring two goals in 12 Liga appearances. It is unclear though, whether the striker will enjoy the same sort of first-team experience under new boss Carlo Ancelotti.
As such, the Azulones have tried to tempt the goalscorer with a loan move for next season.
“We made a request to Real Madrid,” he told reporters. “But I think there’s very little chance of him joining.
“After last season he deserves a place in their first team.”
