Malaga owner Sheikh Abdullah Al Thani has seemingly unofficially confirmed Isco’s departure from the club this summer.
Isco is heavily speculated in Spain this week as having accepted a deal to move across to Real Madrid, after two years at La Rosaleda.
On from a particularly notable second season, Malaga’s owner has indicated in a posting through his official Twitter account that the player is indeed leaving.
“shirts No . 22 will not be available to any other player in the Malaga cf courtesy to the player Isco,” wrote Al Thani, implying his unofficial intention to retire the 21-year-old’s shirt.
Spanish Football League (LFP) regulations do not allow for clubs to retire shirt numbers.
