Pedro wary of Tahiti complacency

Spanish national team forward Pedro has admitted that La Roja are 'favourites' when they face Tahiti on Thursday.

Vicente Del Bosque's men play the Pacific islanders in Rio this week knowing that three points would see them through to the semi-finals of the Confederations Cup.

And the Barcelona attacker has conceded that his team should win, but is wary against complacency, whilst also commenting on the honour of playing at the Maracana Stadium.

“It is true that in principle that we are favourites,” he told a Press conference. “But every game is tough.

“The team has to play its normal game. We respect the opponent, and go into the game as normal.

“They have some fast players, as we saw against Nigeria, so it's going to be tough for us.

“There have been some unforgettable moments at that stadium,” he added. “I would be delighted if I could play there.

“It's a stadium we all like a lot.”
