Spain’s preparations for the Confederations Cup continue, with Vicente del Bosque’s training hinting at starting spots for Victor Valdes and Roberto Soldado.
Ahead of Sunday’s Group B opening fixture with Uruguay, Del Bosque split his Seleccion in the latest training session into two groups.
Whilst a possible starting XI looked to be hidden amongst the workout, speculation is that the planned first choice midfield and attack were in one team and the intended defence and goalkeeper were in the other.
A provisional XI that Del Bosque may be looking at would list Valdes in goal ahead of Iker Casillas and Soldado in attack alongside Pedro Rodriguez, ahead of Fernando Torres and David Villa.
Probable Spain XI: Valdes; Arbeloa, Ramos, Pique, Alba; Busquets, Fabregas, Xavi, Iniesta; Pedro, Soldado
