The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has requested Sevilla to have the necessary documentation ready for next season’s Europa League.
A statement on the Andalusian club’s official website has confirmed the RFEF’s request following Malaga’s exclusion from the competition, the Court of Arbitration for Sport rejected their appeal against a ban for a breach of Financial Fair Play regulations.
Malaga’s place will provisionally be handed to Sevilla with Rayo Vallecano, the team that finished above Los Rojiblancos, having not been granted a UEFA licence.
However, despite Sevilla being told gear up for next term the Madrid club plan to appeal the decision shortly in the hope of replacing Malaga.
