Chelsea youngster Ruben Loftus-Cheek is being lined up for a move to Barcelona, according to the Daily Mail.
The 17-year-old midfielder impressed Barca scouts with his performance during the recent friendly with Manchester City in New York, and the Spaniards are eager to replenish their own youth ranks after losing some promising players to Premier League clubs in recent years.
Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea have all captured future stars that have come through Barca’s famed La Masia academy and the Catalans are now seeking to reverse the trend.
Chelsea signed England youth international Loftus-Creek to a lucrative contract earlier this year, following interest from Barca and rivals City, but La Blaugrana refuse to be put off and could well pursue their interest this summer.
