Atletico Madrid have unveiled the home and away shirts they will be wearing in La Liga and the Champions League for 2013-14 season.
Diego Simeone’s side will play League, Cup and European in a home shirt styled on the club’s traditional red and white colouring once more, with a nod to a design prominently used at the Vicente Calderon during the 1960s.
Maintaining stripes running down the chest, the shirt will carry plain red sleeves with a white horizontal band, whilst a colour is reintroduced and touched with blue detail. Shorts are a darker blue, similar in tone to that used on the mid-1960s kit.
The away kit is a break from recent years and sees the shirt predominantly yellow, with dark blue colouring the sleeves and down the sides. The shorts are dark blue too.
Both kits will feature ‘Azerbaijan Land of Fire’ as shirt sponsors and will also have ‘110 años de leyenda’ written on them to help mark the club’s 110th anniversary.
