Lopetegui to rotate Under-21s

Spain Under-21 Coach Julen Lopetegui is reportedly ready to rotate his starting line-up for their final Group B game against the Netherlands this week.

La Rojita head into Wednesday’s UEFA Under-21 Championship clash level on points with the Dutch, with the match set to determine which team will finish top in the group and likely avoid Italy in the semi-finals.

Having made only the one change to his starting XI between the team’s opening two wins against Russia and Germany, Coach Lopetegui is anticipated as using this midweek’s game as a chance to try out some of the squad’s other players.

AS speculate that Dani Carvajal, Alvaro Vazuez, Marc Muniesa, Ignacio Camacho and Iker Munian are almost certainties to start against the Netherlands, with Koke believed to possibly be the only player to keep his place in the starting line-up from yesterday’s win over Germany.

Lopetegui is seen as likely to then revert back to his preferred XI for the semi-final.
