Arda Turan has reflected on Atletico Madrid’s Copa del Rey win this season and indicated that his future is with the club.
The Turkish international has been linked with a possible move away, with former club Galatasaray said to be up against Chelsea in competing for his signature.
However, in talking to reporters today, the creative talent indicated that his focus is only on life at the Vicente Calderon.
“I play at one of the biggest teams in Europe. We have won three trophies and the latest final against Real Madrid,” commented Arda today, before reflecting on that last final against Atleti’s city rivals.
“It was something very special, one of the best things I have experienced in my sporting life.
“It was a day that cannot be expressed in words. It still gives me goosebumps to remember.
“It is true that I believed we could win. This is a team that gave everything in the field and the fans did the same in the stand.
“It was amazing. One of the most beautiful moments of my career. I was crying for five minutes after the game.
“It is something special in the history of Atletico, a major victory, and I am proud to have participated in it.”
