Marcelo reflected that Real Madrid’s motivation for yesterday’s game at Real Sociedad was mainly pride.
La Liga’s confirmed runners-up, Madrid played out an entertaining 3-3 draw at Anoeta.
“We did not have anything to play for, but for the shirt and for the fans we tried to win and play well,” reflected Marcelo post-match.
“In the first half we did well, we started strongly, with cool heads, and went looking for the win.”
The full-back was asked of Mourinho’s impending departure this summer.
“We have not talked about that yet. Mourinho is a great Coach, he has helped me a lot and I wish him all the happiness in the world wherever he goes.
“We have to look forward and we'll see what happens next season.”
