Spurs to improve Bale deal

Tottenham Hotspur will reportedly hand Gareth Bale another improved contract this summer in a bid to deter interest from Real Madrid.

The Spanish have been increasingly linked with a move this summer for the Welsh attacking star, who netted 31 goals during 2012-13 for club and country.

Today reports in Spain indicate that Los Blancos will make a bid for Bale in the next transfer window.

However, on from the belief that Spurs hold a €70m valuation on the 23-year-old, The Guardian believe that they are poised to sign the player to an improved contract.

The London outfit, who have missed out on Champions League qualification for next year, will reportedly sign Bale to a £150,000-a-week deal.
