Sevilla’s Alvaro Negredo has reportedly given the green light to his agent to consider offers this summer, particularly from Atletico Madrid.
Marca believe that the 27-year-old is prepared to leave the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan this coming transfer window amid rumours that the likes of Borussia Dortmund, West Ham, Fiorentina and Atletico are all preparing bids.
Valued at €18m, Sevilla President Jose Maria del Nido is apparently hopeful that bidding may push the player’s price up to €25m, in a summer that the Andalucians are seen as likely to sell to try and service a €50m debt.
Negredo has reportedly instructed his agent to open the door to offers and, despite a previous affinity signalled towards the Premier League, Marca understand that the striker is hopeful of holding talks with Atletico.
Meanwhile, Negredo’s representative has told Italian media today that only teams competing in next year’s Champions League will have a shot at the player.
“We will only accept offers from clubs in the Champions League,” Juanma Lopez declared to Sky Sport Italia.
“But we are remaining calm. Importantly though, the final word will go to Sevilla.”
